Susanne Brogan was appointed to the Commission in March 2007. Prior to her appointment, she was Director of Development
at Radcliffe Creek School in Chestertown, Maryland. The school is an independent K-8 school for children with learning
disabilities.
From October 1992 until June 2001, Commissioner Brogan was a Commissioner at the Maryland Public Service Commission.
She was an active participant in the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) and the Mid-Atlantic
Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (MACRUC), Secretary/Treasurer of MACRUC, and a member of the Gas
Advisory Council.
From 1984-1992, she worked for the Maryland General Assembly, serving the last six years as the Legislative Assistant
to the Speaker of the House of Delegates.
Commissioner Brogan received her Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law and
received a B.A. in Political Science with honors from Washington College in Chestertown.
She is Chair of the Economic Development Article Review Committee of the Commission to Revise the Maryland Annotated
Code, and served as a member of the General Assembly Compensation Commission in 2006 and a member of the Governor's
Salary Commission in 2002. She has been a member of the Maryland State Bar Association since 1982.
A native of Maryland's Eastern Shore, Commissioner Brogan resides in Annapolis with her husband.
