CONSUMER ALERT!

Due to continuing high demand for toll-free numbers, two new toll-free area codes have been placed in service at the direction of the 800 Number Administration Committee, an industry consortium.

The area code 866, was scheduled to go into service on July 29, 2000, and area code 855 was scheduled to go into service beginning November 18, 2000. The two area codes join the current 800, 888, and 877 area codes, as valid toll-free telephone numbers.
