Terms and clarifications for Enrollment Report Tables

All investor owned utility customers are eligible to take service from competitive retail electric suppliers. Market based generation rates go into effect for all customers, with the exception of AP residential customers, effective July 2004. For all other utilities, generation rates are based on the Case 8908 Standard Offer Service framework. AP residential customers continue to have frozen rates based on their restructuring settlements through December 2008.

Small C&I customers are commercial or industrial customers with demands less than or equal to 50 kW for AP, 60 kW for BGE and Delmarva and 25 kW for Pepco. These customers are eligible for"Type 1" fixed price utility Standard Offer Service if they do not switch to a supplier.

Mid-sized C&I customers are commercial or industrial customers with demands greater than the level for small C&I service (Type 1 SOS) for each utility but less than 600 kW. These customers are eligible for "Type 2" fixed price utility Standard Offer Service if they do not switch to a supplier.

Large C&I customers are commercial or industrial customers with demands equal to or greater than 600 kW, these customers have an option to either "Type 3" fixed price utility Standard Offer Service or hourly priced service (based on PJM hourly LMP) if they do not switch to a supplier

In accordance with Case 9064, the definitions of Small C&I, Mid C&I and Large C&I customers will remain in effect until June 2008.

The format for these reports changed effective May, 2004. All "Residential" and "Total" information is comparable in prior reports, before and after the format change.
